Customs clearance and tax
Air freight to Singapore includes customs clearance but not duties. Parcels imported into Singapore that weigh no more than 20 kg and are declared under SGD 200 are 99% not taxed; if a parcel is taxed, the recipient must pay it.
Cubic Sea Freight rates to Singapore include delivery at the destination but exclude any carry-upstairs fee and Singapore GST.
Billing and size limits
- Air volumetric weight = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 6000; you pay for the higher of actual and volumetric weight.
- Cubic metres = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 1,000,000; cargo over 500 kg per cubic metre is billed by actual weight.
- A single piece to Singapore over 80 kg, or larger than 120 × 100 × 100 cm, must be confirmed with us before shipping.
- The rate table has Singapore dollar (SGD) prices: choose Singapore on the price page or in the shipping calculator.
Sensitive goods and refused items
For Singapore, sensitive goods include CDs, adult products, cosmetics, liquids, powders, batteries, phones, cameras, electronics, food, branded and replica goods, medicine, supplements and valuables. Send them by the sensitive air channel; for sensitive goods by Cubic Sea Freight, email [email protected] first.
Dangerous goods, weapons, plants and livestock, alcohol, tobacco, perishables, contraband and products banned from export at origin or import at destination are refused on every channel; Cubic Sea Freight also refuses firecrackers, rice and tyres.
Delivery in Singapore
Air parcels are delivered to your door by a local Singapore courier. Cubic Sea Freight is delivered to the recipient’s door by a local logistics company, and the driver does not carry goods upstairs; at shopping malls, unloading happens only at the area the driver designates.
