Can I Ship Sensitive Goods? China to Malaysia Sensitive Cargo
Sensitive goods are items that are not prohibited but need special handling at customs, such as cosmetics, electronics, batteries, food and liquids. You can ship them as long as you pick the right channel: sea channels charge normal and sensitive goods the same, while air freight needs a dedicated sensitive line. Truly prohibited items cannot be shipped on any channel. This page lists the sensitive categories, the channels that accept them, the prohibited items and what happens if goods go through the wrong channel.

Branded and replica goods
Replica or big-brand clothing, bags and shoes are not accepted on air channels. Branded goods must never go through a normal or e-commerce channel; contact customer service first to confirm which channel can take them.
Prohibited items: not accepted on any channel
The items below are prohibited: neither normal nor sensitive channels carry them, and our Buy-for-Me team cannot purchase them. Note that ordinary batteries are sensitive goods, but high-capacity lithium batteries are prohibited, and pressurised aerosol sprays cannot be shipped either.
- High-capacity lithium batteries
- Weapons
- Animals
- Currency and commemorative coins
- Jewellery
- Flammable or explosive items
- Pressurised gas (aerosol sprays)
- Dangerous goods
- Rice
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Tobacco
- Fireworks and firecrackers
- Products banned from export at origin or from import at destination
What happens if sensitive goods go through a normal channel
- The goods may be held, confiscated, returned or fined, and the sender or recipient bears the responsibility and cost.
- Freight already paid is not refunded, and if the goods come back and must be resent on a sensitive channel, the freight is charged again.
- If customs confiscates or fines a parcel because prohibited or sensitive goods were sent on a normal channel, the member pays the fine.
- Not sure which category your goods fall into? Ask customer service before you order; it costs far less than fixing it afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Can I ship cosmetics and skincare to Malaysia?
Yes. Cosmetics are sensitive goods: Sea Express charges the same as normal goods, and by air use Air Express (sensitive).
Can I ship power banks or batteries?
Batteries are sensitive goods and need a sensitive channel; high-capacity lithium batteries are prohibited on every channel. Ask customer service about a specific model first.
Can I ship food? What about frozen food?
