How Parcel Consolidation Works

Consolidation means this: everything you buy from different sellers on Taobao, 1688, Pinduoduo and other platforms goes first to the MYBEST warehouse in China; once it has all arrived, the warehouse combines it into one shipment and sends it to Malaysia or Singapore in one go. Because international freight is charged on the chargeable weight of each shipment, combining parcels is usually cheaper than sending each one separately, and easier to track. This guide explains the process, how chargeable weight is calculated, the warehouse services and the claim rules.

The consolidation process

  1. Sign up and get your personal warehouse address with your member code.
  2. Use the warehouse as your delivery address when you shop, and add the China courier tracking numbers on MYBEST.
  3. The warehouse checks each parcel in and shows its weight and a photo of the packaging.
  4. Select the parcels to combine, submit a consolidation order and choose the channel and delivery address.
  5. The warehouse packs the parcels together, weighs the shipment and calculates its freight.
  6. Pay and the shipment is dispatched; follow it on the tracking page and receive it at your door or a pickup point.

How chargeable weight is calculated

Air freight and Sea Express charge the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight, where volumetric weight = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 6000. Cubic Sea Freight charges by volume, cubic metres = L × W × H ÷ 1,000,000, and switches to actual weight when goods exceed 500 kg per cubic metre.

Packing parcels together removes the empty space between them, so the chargeable weight of the shipment is closer to what you really need to send. On air channels you can also ask for unpacking to remove extra outer packaging.
