How to Ship from Taobao to Malaysia in 8 Steps

Most Taobao sellers do not ship abroad, but with a China delivery address you can still get your order to Malaysia. This guide walks through the whole process with MYBEST consolidation, from signing up to receiving your parcel, and includes a table showing how to fill in the Taobao delivery address. If this is your first consolidated shipment, follow the steps and you will have your first order done.

The 8 steps

Sign up for a free MYBEST account (no referral code needed; Google sign-up works too) and get your member code.
Copy the Guangzhou warehouse address from the member centre. The recipient name and street address both contain your member code; keep it exactly as it is.
Order on Taobao and enter the MYBEST Guangzhou warehouse as the delivery address (see the table below).
When the seller ships, add the China courier tracking number in the parcel centre, or use the one-click Chrome extension or Excel bulk upload.
The warehouse signs for the parcel and checks it in, showing its weight and a photo of the packaging (normally within 2 hours of the seller showing it as delivered).
Once all the parcels you want to combine are checked in, select them in the parcel centre, submit a consolidation order and choose the delivery address and channel (air or sea, normal or sensitive).
After the warehouse packs and weighs the order and calculates the freight, top up your wallet (FPX online banking credits instantly, 24 hours) and pay; air orders paid before 9 pm ship the same day.
Follow the shipment on the tracking page: air normally arrives in 3–5 working days and sea in 12–16 working days. If anything is damaged or missing, contact customer service within 12 hours of receiving it.

How to fill in the Taobao delivery address

Copy the full recipient, phone and address from the member centre in one click; the table explains what goes in each Taobao field.

The address is entered in its original Chinese and is never translated. For frozen food, use the -18°C frozen warehouse address in the member centre instead.

Tips to save money and avoid problems

Wait until your parcels have all arrived and submit one consolidation order; until you pay, you can still add parcels or ask for repacking.
Light but bulky goods are cheaper by sea and urgent small items go by air; compare them in the shipping calculator first.
Choose the right channel for sensitive goods such as cosmetics, electronics and food; the wrong channel can get goods held and the freight is not refunded.
Parcels are stored free for 90 days and destroyed after that, so ship in time.
